Makes or Serves: 4-6
Crumble the cheese‚ then mash it with a fork. Stir in the soured cream and walnuts. Halve the avocado‚ remove stone and scoop all the flesh out of the skin. Mash the flesh with lemon juice‚ then add to the cheese mixture. Mix well and season to taste with pepper.
Lightly chill the dip for about 30 minutes in a covered container before serving.
DO NOT MAKE UP THE MIXTURE MORE THAN AN HOUR IN ADVANCE OF SERVING AS THE AVOCADO MAY DISCOLOUR WITH PROLONGED STANDING.
Serve the dip with a selection fo prepared‚ crisp raw vegetables‚ for example‚ carrots‚ cauliflower and celery - and small savoury biscuits or crisps.RETURN TO RECIPE LIST
